THE ORGANISATION
My personal background includes underwriting, management and development roles with a major composite insurer and more than ten years with the Chartered Insurance Institute heading up the College of Insurance and Distance Learning Division. I personally teach a number of the programmes. Details of other professionals who carry out training are provided.
Welcome! I'm David Ransom and I have set up this organisation in order to provide high quality, cost-effective training for the insurance sector.
This organisation delivers training programmes and provides advice on training and development issues primarily to those in the insurance sector. Some of the programmes (particularly those in personal skills areas) are generic.
On this Website you will find details of a range of training and development initiatives that are outlined to give a flavour of what is possible. These have been carefully devised to meet identified market needs but are fully capable being tailored or augmented to meet particular needs of an organisation in order to cater for different practices or policy wordings. The list of topics is by no means exhaustive - the list of potential trainers is extensive as are the subjects that they teach. On this WebSite I have included details of a small group involved in the delivery of the programmes illustrated here.
Some of the programmes are pitched at induction level; others are offered at a more senior level including some of the personal development programmes. These are some highly focused offerings for specific groups - programmes such as Motor fleet underwriting and motor trade risks, catering for the needs of those either in the insurer or broker market, moving into this specialist area. There are some very flexible programmes such as Insurance awareness. This may be used at induction level for those starting in mainstream insurance jobs. It is also ideal as a means of providing a market context for those in support or specialist roles such as telesales or IT staff.
